Beschreibung

Work is a valuable and vital component of our social life. Not only the daily routine is regulated by an employment relationship, but this also secures the livelihood and thus creates the material conditions for the satisfaction of personal needs. Work enables contacts, community, social recognition and opportunities to realize life chances. In order to be able to promote access to the world of work for young people with disabilities in the best possible way, a number of prerequisites are required. This paper deals with these decisive factors in the placement of apprentices, with and without disabilities, in vocational training. In order to be able to examine the factors mentioned in the best possible way, extensive literature research, analyses of statistical secondary sources and guideline-based expert interviews were conducted with ten personnel managers from nine companies. The insights gained made it possible to identify decisive factors for the placement of apprentices with and without impairments.
