'The Audiovisual Recording of the Interrogation of the Accused in Preliminary Proceedings Pursuant to Section 136 (4) StPO. A Contribution to Establishing the Truth in Criminal Proceedings': The paper analyzes Section 136 (4) of the German Code of Criminal Procedure in detail and examines how the audiovisual recording of interrogations of suspects can be integrated into the current concept of criminal proceedings. It also identifies existing dogmatic problem areas and practical application deficits and develops criteria for their practical handling. Finally, the work provides guidelines for the necessary further development of the law in this regard.

Jannik Ziesmer studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel. Im Schwerpunkt studierte er Kriminalwissenschaften und wurde nach seinem Ersten Staatsexamen im Juni 2020 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht und Wirtschaftsstrafrecht von Prof. Dr. Andreas Hoyer. Von Juni 2022 bis Juni 2024 absolvierte Jannik Ziesmer sein Referendariat im Landgerichtsbezirk Kiel.
