Wound care is important when it comes to saving the life of the patient. The nurse must learn how to deal with the wound and manage the different types of wound, as for instance, closed, open wound. It is essential to know wound classification such as clean, clean-contaminated and infected wound. Knowing the types of wound and doing an assessment, the nurse will decide on the correct manner of management and dressing technique to reach to goal of wound regeneration.
