Beschreibung
'Spaces in International and European Union Law' Territorial disputes represent the main threat to global peace and security. From a legal point of view, however, they are generally of little interest. It is only in areas and spaces beyond national jurisdiction that they raise complicated and to a certain extent novel issues. These spaces include geographical areas like air, outer space and Antarctica, as well as virtual and ambiguous spaces like cyberspace, as well as cultural, neighbourhood, economic, political and legal spaces.

Prof. Dr. Kerstin Odendahl ist Inhaberin des Lehrstuhls für Öffentliches Recht mit Schwerpunkt Völkerrecht, Europarecht und Allgemeine Staatslehre an der Universität Kiel sowie Geschäftsführende Direktorin des Walther-Schücking-Instituts für Internationales Recht. Davor war sie von 2004 bis 2011 Professorin für Völker- und Europarecht an der Universität St. Gallen, Schweiz. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen bei den Grundlagen des Völker- und Europarechts sowie dem internationalen Umwelt,- Kultur- und Sicherheitsrecht.
