This book examines and classifies the existing legal instruments relevant to the transformation of the energy sector in the face of climate change in Australian and German federal statutory laws. The comparative legal study identifies and analyses similarities and differences of both legal systems. It evaluates the two different legislative approaches on the transformation of the energy system from the background of the required greenhouse gas reductions, and strives to explain the differences.
