'Limitation of Preparatory Information Claims': In civil law, numerous information claims serve to enforce a main claim but are subject to their own statute of limitations. Consequently, the information claim may expire before the main claim, meaning the main claim can no longer be enforced. Conversely, the information claim may become time-barred after the main claim, rendering it useless. This dissertation examines when this divergence results in unfair outcomes and how they can be legally addressed.

Raphael Hillus studierte Rechtswissenschaften an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf. Nach Ablegen der ersten juristischen Staatsprüfung 2018 arbeitete Raphael Hillus promotionsbegleitend als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl von Frau Prof. Dr. Katharina Lugani an der Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf sowie bei verschiedenen Wirtschaftskanzleien in Düsseldorf. Im Anschluss an das Rechtsreferendariat am Landgericht Düsseldorf legte er 2023 die zweite juristische Staatsprüfung und arbeitet seitdem als Rechtsanwalt bei Noerr Partnerschaftsgesellschaft mbB in der Praxisgruppe Employment & Pensions.
