'The Right to Work from Home. Scope of Action and Limits of Labor and Social Security Law for the Digitized World of Work 4.0': This thesis first explores the framework of labor and social security law as well as existing claims to work from home de lege lata. Since the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs is - still - planning a legal claim to work from home, this is subjected to a critical examination de lege ferenda. A legal claim based on § 8 TzBfG turns out to be of limited use. Instead, the legislator should promote regulations based on social partnership.

Anton Barrein studierte von 2013 bis 2019 Rechtswissenschaften an der Leibniz Universität Hannover sowie der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena mit dem Schwerpunkt Arbeits- und Sozialrecht. Nach Abschluss des ersten Staatsexamens promovierte er bei Prof. Dr. Felipe Temming, LL.M. (LSE). Er ist seit 2022 als Rechtsanwalt im Bereich Arbeitsrecht bei der Kanzlei activelaw Offenhausen.Wolter in Hannover tätig.
