'Political Party or Association? A Historical and Systematic Study on the Term Political Party in the German Grundgesetz': Dr. Jörn Grotjahn is a graduate of Oxford University (MSt in Modern History) and a German lawyer. His PhD thesis (Free University Berlin) is an analysis of the term 'political party' as laid down in the German constitution. The history of the German party system is considered key for a closer definition of this constitutional term and shall enable a more precise distinction from mere political associations.
Autorenporträt
Jörn Grotjahn studied History, Politics and German at the Universities of Göttingen and Oxford (MSt in Modern History) as well as Law at the Free University Berlin. During his studies and traineeship, he was employed as an assistant with the German parliament. He completed his legal clerkship at the Berlin Kammergericht. Since 2014, he has been working as a lawyer in Berlin and became a partner of his law firm in 2018. He is a certified specialist for medical law and consults on various matters regarding the pharmaceutical market.
