'Existence and Law. Perspectives of Existential Legal Thinking' Existential thinking is currently experiencing an increasing renaissance in the public and academic debate. In the legal discussion, however, existential philosophy has always had a difficult status. As a supposed philosophy of individualism, it seemed too distant from questions of normativity. But is existential philosophy really the anti-normative philosophy as which it was labelled? The present work is intended to explore the potential of existential philosophy for today's legal philosophical discourse.
