Beschreibung
The aim of this book is to define the current and emerging defense and security landscape and to show the relevance and impact of innovation on addressing these often-intractable problems. We sit at crossroads where global security threats are emerging that pervade and potentially will transform society. These global conflicts and security issues have dimensions that are both technical and social in nature and are now transborder thereby becoming national security issues. Accessing innovative solutions to augment defense and security capabilities-both immediately and for the future-is critical to mitigate new threats, stay ahead of potential adversaries, and meet evolving defense and security needs. The complex and constantly evolving nature of conflict and crises requires that S&T addresses potential threats and risks. The book thereby provides a comprehensive examination of innovation methodologies to support the defense and security domains with real-world examples and applications of innovation within the security domain. This book is of most interest to public and private sector innovators working in the defense and security domain as well as academician and graduate students.
