This book will help postgraduate and undergraduate students and researchers in nanoparticles, gas sensing and powder metallurgy processes using mechanical milling. It gives light on the impact of the powder milling. Chapter 1 contains the structural transformation of Ti after milling and transformation upon oxidation and nitridation. Chapter 2 deals with the mechanical milling of anatase TiO2, while chapter 3 reveals the reaction of TiO2 and Ti and the effect of milling. Chapters 4 & 5 contain the reduction of TiO2 by Mg and the formation of the mixed metal oxide / oxynitride.

Dr. Bolokang gained his M. Tech Degree in metallurgy (cum laude) from the university of Johannesburg and PhD form the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. He was principal researcher at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and associate senior researcher at the University of the Western Cape.
