The 2008 Malaysias General Elections will always remain in the hearts and minds of those directly and indirectly involved in the nations politics especially members of the Barisan Nasional (BN) or National Front party. The unexpected results of the 12th General Elections is said to have been influenced by issues which had emerged before and during the election campaigns were on the way. The issues brought forward are also important in increasing the number of votes for a particular contesting party or candidate apart from the popularity and credibility of the party and candidate itself. This book deems to discuss the voting patterns amongst the voters in determining the peoples representative in the 2008 General Elections; with a focus on the Permatang Pauh Parliament constituency. Differences in opinions and characteristics of ideologies about politics had brought about a political pattern of utmost difference among the voters. However, issues brought up by the contesting parties and candidates were said to be the main influence and motivator in obtaining votes from the voters.
