Most of the considerations covered in this monograph aim to assess the changes that took place in the international security environment during the second half of the 21st century and identify how the global trends evaluating during the next two decades will shape the regional and global security challenges and risks. The study case focuses on identification of the future consequences of the aggressive policy pursued by some states and international competition through hybrid warfare, for the international security environment. It explains the global demographic and environmental transformations; identifies the challenges and risks of the global and regional security resulting from technological transformations; and explores the consequences of the global shock events for the international security.
