This book named Journey of Slum Dwellers: A Socio-Eco-Environmental Crusade is based on a pragmatic research conducted in a state capital of India. It narrates on the menace of slums taking roots in the cities; due to mass exodus of people from rural villages in search of income. The scanty provisions of administration are quite inadequate for catering to proper habitation and hygiene. Economic inequalities and astronomical rise in the prices of land; in the face of meagre earning has given birth to poverty and inability to purchase a tiny affordable shelter. The book revolves around a quest for understanding the cause of the problem and identified solutions to the endless war against slums dwellers. Irrespective of the unending woes of India resulting from economic seclusion, these endowed approachable findings have been optimistic, and strategic alternatives to solutions. It has redefined and furbished an innovative approach to the issues and challenges governing a socio-eco-environmental crusade for peaceful co-existence.
