This study presents a reflexion about the specificities of the cinema industry business models. The binary acception of the cinema as an art or as an industry has led the whole business since its beginnings. We consider the hypothesis that the cinema industry, being still a young one, is an experimentation field for business models. Well assess our hypothesis by comparing the cinema business models with those of the more traditionnal industry. Well then, helped by professionals, try to discover new business models that could be successful in streamlining the cinema industry. Finally, well have a deep look at the many contemporary attempts that aim at using the economic and technologic disruption to improve this very industry, such as Artificial Intelligence or Big Data.
