The tutorial Myth Poetics is aimed at an in-depth comprehensive study of the relevant problems of myth poetics in close relationship with the theory of literature. Some important categories and concepts of myth poetics are considered. Author's definitions of mythology, mythological chronoscope, functional field of myth poetics and others are offered. The work can be one of the main teaching and methodological tools in the preparation and conduct of lectures and practical classes in the bachelor's degree, masters and doctoral studies in a number of elective disciplines, including: New mythology as a relevant direction of contemporary literature; Theory of Literature and Myth poetics, Cultural Codes of Contemporary Literature and others. The book consists of two sections: Theoretical aspects and Functional aspects of myth poetics. It is equipped with tests for each topic and section, assignments for independent work of students, including under the guidance of a teacher, test sections, references. For scholars, students and teachers of philological faculties, school teachers of literature and art and all persons, who take an interest in myth poetics.

Saule Altybayeva, Doctor of Philology, is an associate professor at KazUIRWL (Almaty, Kazakhstan). Research interests: myth criticism, new mythology, cultural codes in a literature and art; postmodern discourse; narrative; author of more than 100 scientific works, the PhD and masters' courses in new mythology, cultural codes in literature.
