Beschreibung
Ghana has made enormous efforts in recent years to standardise and improve its vocational education and training system. The support of German and international stakeholders has played a decisive role in this. However, the vocational education and training system, which has been very school-based to date, continues to face challenges: Vocational education and training is not sufficiently practice-orientated, does not yet provide enough training to meet the needs of companies and is underfunded. Nevertheless, the analysis in this country study shows that far-reaching changes have already been initiated in the West African country, which are beginning to have an impact on the accessibility and quality of vocational education and training programmes.
