Beschreibung
Training occupations differ both at the occupational level and at the level of cognitive requirements. While differences in occupational specialties can be studied empirically using the Classification of Occupations 2010, this is less true for differences in the cognitive demand level of training occupations. The publication presents an indicator of the Vocational Psychology Service of the Federal Employment Agency for the cognitive demand level of training occupations and presents its distribution over 226 dual and school-based training occupations as well as analyses of the construct and criterion validity of the indicator. The results show the heterogeneity in the cognitive requirement level of training occupations and indicate a satisfactory validity of the indicator.
