Mallorca is one of the most beautiful places on earth for a painter But where there is only pictorial beauty to depict, the pen fails, so I didnt even try to put it into words. Only a pencil or an engraving tool can reveal to us the splendor and grace of nature. It is a painted journey to capture this unique Mediterranean island world with its colors and light. However, this island also offers so much tranquility, harmony, and beauty that, as a painter, I continually discovered new things that spontaneously led me to seek out and capture the splendor and grace described by George Sand on paper. My watercolor paints were once again wonderful means of expression to capture the beauty I encountered everywhere on my hikes through the diverse landscapes of Mallorca. I again realized how ideal the watercolor technique is for capturing the light of these landscapes and places. The play with the transparency of watercolor paint and water makes the motifs glow.
