Jennifer Schumann is a postdoctoral researcher on a project called Argumentative Model of Rephrase (AMoRe) at the English Department of the University of Fribourg. She completed her Ph.D. at the French Department of the University of Bern with a thesis that focused on an experimental pragmatic approach to the straw man fallacy, investigating different linguistic factors that influence the acceptability of said fallacy. In her research, she uses experimental methods combining pragmatics and argumentation.
