Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Brussels - this is where the heart of Europe beats. There is a symbolism on the map: the three cities lie on a line at almost the same distance. A beautiful coincidence and a beautiful symbol for the VIA DEMOCRATIA EUROPA and the separation of powers in European democracy! The European Route of Democracy connects cities and places that are closely linked because of the founding and development of the European Union as we know it today. The route runs along the barely visible national borders between Belgium, Germany, France, Luxembourg and Netherlands. It traces beautiful landscapes offering a rich variety of sights and a special, regional-multinational flair. The European idea becomes experiential (tangible).
