Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur ist eine der 18 Verwaltungsregionen Frankreichs. Zu ihr gehören die Départements Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône, Var und Vaucluse. Its identity as a geographical region being a legacy of the Roman Empire, the Provence includes the French Riviera and is famous for its sunny weather, colourful countryside, longstanding traditions and local language (Provençal).
