Nowadays football is not just a sport, but it has become involved in the market sphere, and therefore its quality depends on performance of the clubs organization and management. Question of organization and management of football clubs is a top issue today at different societal levels. This book provides an overview of the football management, organizational structure and performance of the Croatian First Football League based on the analysis of the situation through a 5-year period, and on the existing theoretical knowledge in the field of sport management. There were described the place and role of organization and management in the modern professional football, and identified and discussed the factors for improving the management functions in football. Given today's trends in football, research results and long experience of the author of this book as an active participant in the sport and football organisations at all levels, it can be said that the success of football clubs depends on a number of various related factors, and under the influence of economic development of the society as well. The book gives suggestions on possible innovations and improvements in the field.
