*PAD accepts the ASCII code data stream from the DTE - buffers data, processes data, and converts data into a suitably formatted X.25 protocols then sends data over X.25 PSDN to the desired DTE. *PAD can simulate structure-based software for data packets and processing, which in turn can model and support experimentation of variety of schemes of data transfer. *This study contains a complete discussion on the theory and operation of PAD as well as the simulated software program details.
