English has a rich vocabulary. Vocabulary is one of the most important aspects of language learning for EFL students. Intending to expand their vocabulary knowledge, some language learners resort to the memorization of lists of English words with their translation from a bilingual dictionary; however, this procedure is not recommended. Gaining active control of English vocabulary calls for intensive study to be followed by extensive reading to develop further familiarity with the lexicon. An EFL student can acquire vocabulary through practice. Reading interesting stories, newspaper articles, etc. can be considered as one of the best ways to pick up new words. Having seen the results of employing these fables both as a method of developing vocabulary and as a material for translation workshop, the author has no hesitation in recommending the present book for use with students majoring English Language Learning. Through the clever use of this book the students can help themselves to strengthen and expand their word knowledge and develop a wide vocabulary.
