This book reviews the literature on event study methodology and provides an empirical analysis of merger activity in hi-tech industry. It describes what is and what drives a merger and acquisition process together with supporting historical facts. Tools and techniques for analyzing the performance of a merger are summarized along with some commonly accepted and recently developed testing procedures.

Mihail Cristiuc was born in Moldova and made his B.Sc. in Economic Information Systems at the Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova with an exchange year at Pierce College, WA, USA where he studied business administration. After that, he graduated from University of Konstanz, M.Sc. in Economics with major in International Financial Economics.
