The study has the following secondary objectives:1. To review the retail banking services offered by the selected commercial banks in Erode district.2. To find out the factors influencing the customers to prefer retail banking services from the selected commercial banks in Erode district.3. To study the level of satisfaction of the customers towards retail banking services of the selected commercial banks in Erode district.4. To compare the service quality dimensions of the retail banking of public and private sector commercial banks in Erode district.5. To offer suitable suggestions to improve the effectiveness of the retail banking services of the commercial banks based on the findings of the study.
