Financial management is a branch of general management and has as its primary objective the substantiation of financial decisions of businesses with the goal of achieving performance in a market economy. This book is split in two main parts: Financial Management-Theoretical Issues and Financial Management-Practical Issues. In the theoretical part we have addressed issues such as: the definition of Financial Management, study tasks, functions, purpose, decisional processes, methods, techniques, models utilized by Financial Management, corporate governance, insolvency and liquidation. In the second part we have addressed practical issues of financial diagnostics, performance of business, financial equilibrium, insolvency of business, factors that influence financial return and solvency of business. The issues addressed in the book make it a useful instrument for business managers, professionals and students (including MA and PhD) of economics. In conclusion, we wish to thank all those which have helped us with the documentation necessary in the elaboration of this book as well as our colleagues from the Faculty of Economics Sciences, 1 Decembrie 1918 Alba Iulia.

Teodor Hada is PhD Professor in the "Bogdan Voda" University from Cluj Napoca. Teodora Maria Avram is PhD Student, associate university assistant of the "1 Decembrie 1918" University from Alba Iulia and economist. Daniela Ionela Dumitrescu is economist in Alba Iulia. All authors have published books and articles in prestigious journals.
