At its most basic level, education is important because it gives people the baseline skills to survive as adults in the world. Most students work part time to earn money and support their education. This research aims to undertake a qualitative and in-depth examination to the senior high school learners on their work experiences while studying. Specifically, this research will focus on the various effects of being a working student on the informants academic performance. To gain a deeper understanding of their nature of work, reasons, motivations, advantages, disadvantages, insights and techniques of working alongside studying. The researchers used case study approach as the manner. Manual coding and collating were used for data analyzing. Ten (10) selected students were used as the key informants of this study. The selected informants came from grade eleven (11) from different strands of senior high school of Roxas National Comprehensive High School. The researcher formulated an open-ended questionnaire. Based on the results of the study, the usual type of works that they usually do are part-time jobs only, this is to manage their time on working while studying.
