Postpartum haemorrhage is a major cause of maternal deaths in South Africa yet it can be avoided. One of the contributing factors, is that health care workers are doing too little too late. High fidelity human patient simulators offers students the opportunity to learn in an almost real like situation. There are many benefits of using high fidelity to teach obstetric emergencies. The aim is to identify and treat emergencies in a simulated environment before encountering it in a real life situation. This book is based on how high fidelity human patient simulators can be used to teach student midwives how to manage postpartum haemorrhage effectively.
Autorenporträt
Hafaza Bibi Amod's career in nursing started in 1997. Her passion is midwifery and neonatal nursing.Graduated in 2016 with a Master's Degree in Nursing by Research. Currently coordinating and teaching midwifery in an undergraduate programme. Also facilitating the Women's health module in a Masters Programme. Currently pursuing a PhD in nursing.
