The book focuses on the processes of effective schools in Tigrai vis-à-vis the international literature and recommended possible lessons that can enrich the quality of education.Having considered the theoretical advances of School Effectiveness Models in the past decades, it is necessary to review the development of SER and TER in both developed and developing countries by way of a review of current literature. Moreover, the book explores varied research projects and the associated literature with the intention of distilling the most appropriate measures of school effectiveness.The emperical data also has parmount importance in this regard for developing countries to explore quality of education in their contexts.

Mulugeta Tsegai is an assistant professor and Coordinator for Graduate Programs in the Institute of Pedagogical Sciences at Mekelle University (Ethiopia). He holds a PhD in Educational Policy and Leadership, and a Master's degree in Educational Planning and Management, from Addis Ababa University.
