The issue of school discipline is of global concern. School discipline is a query that has troubled our country for decades. Everyone in the society wants the child to grow up a conforming moral character and a disciplined individual. School discipline has not found expression in the present school system. Teachers, administrators and parents still believe that punishment remains the only means to enforce discipline. This accounts for the high rate of indiscipline among school children. There is need for a revolutionary and human approach to deviant control. The stakeholders in education industry must interact effectively in addressing the deviant behaviours among the students. The purpose of this information is to help educationist, parents, leaders, counsellors and other professionals who deal with school discipline and deviance individuals and groups get deep insight in defining and understanding meaning and factors that cause deviance behaviours.
