In Ethiopia, textile and garment products sector plays a vital role for economic development. Productivity improvement can help to enrich profit of the garment products industry by minimizing excess work and developing new method for particular operation. Nowadays, productivity improvement is an actual topic for different industries. This book analysis the influence of the integration of lean and work study on the productivity of the garment section. During the research, there were used different methods of data collection: questionnaires, interviews, observations, calculations and other mathematical methods.

Hiwot Haylamaryam holds BSc in Textile Engineering from Bahir Dar University and MSc in Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering from the Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Currently, she works for an international company that specializes in testing, inspection and certification. Hiwot is married and has a son.
