Niger Delta Region of Nigeria has in recent past witnessed long lasting agitations for improved standard of living following its enormous contributions to the Nigerian economy. The response to this demand led to establishment of different commissions. One of such commissions is the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). This commission among others is charged with the responsibility of developing the region. The provision of water project serves as one of the projects embarked upon by the commission. To this end, attempt was made to evaluate the impact of the project on education, health, economic and social development in the region. Addressing these parameters obviously infers some aspects of community development. This book therefore is recommended to professionals in adult education, social workers, community development officers, students of all fields undergoing studies on community related matters and researchers in the field of education.
