Prostitution has been with humanity from time unknown. The bible records a number of cases where prostitutes where found wanting and labeled as such by society. The story of Judah and his daughter in-law is one such case where the problem was a challenge to society. The woman at the well is one such illustration which is apparent that the practice continued to be a menace even during the time of Christ. The book of Proverbs particularly warns whoever practices prostitution and adultery as cursed by a wasting disease. Proverbs 5:11-23, warns clearly that one who wastes his or her body shall morn at the last, when the flesh and the body have been consumed. Verse 25 stipulates that a man must drink from one fountain and be satisfied.
