The book introduced a number of goals to the students. The first goal is to give beginning of structure analysis which is a solid foundation for further study. However, selection and characterization of material is becoming increasingly important in a much wider range of scientific and engineering disciplines for device applications. The second goal is to give those students who will take advanced Ph. D courses in engineering and science. Finally, a more pervasive goal is to expose all students not only for programming concepts but also for the intellectually research foundations of the field. The book will basically very helpful to the students are opting for development and designing of materials.Most important feature of this book is electrical characterization of materials which is very much essential to electrical and electronic engineering students.

Dr. Bichitra Nanda Parida received Ph.D in Condensed Matter Physics from Siksha O Anusandhan University Bhubaneswar. A strong advocate for physics, material science, he involves his students in developing and characterizing the new materials. His professional interests focus on ferroelectric, multiferroic and include 45 international publications.
