Beschreibung
This book gives an example of an indigenous community based grassroots organization, aiming to contribute to the process of social change based on human rights and the culture of its target populations. The Trust has been operating on the ground for over 40 years to empower the Palestinian people in the Holy Land to get out of the "mud" of the socio-economical and political situation that limits the individuals' "normal" development. The leading principle is to contribute to the Palestinian cultural capital and cultural memory that are the cornerstones in giving young children and their families hope for the future.
Autorenporträt
Born in Abu-Ghosh in 1949, a father of four children and grandfather of nine. M.S.W. degree in management of social agencies, BA from Paul Baerwaldschool of social work, Hebrew University-Jerusalem. Was director of the community center east Jerusalem for 25 years. Founder and president of the Trust since 1984.
