Beschreibung
In Cognitive Abilities and Language Development, Muntajeeb Ali Baig applies a cognitive lens towards the influence of the language on the mental abilities of children. The cognitive process of children depends on the language spoken by them, they present ideas and thoughts through the language. The mother tongue of a child is well developed therefore his ability to grasp scientific laws and principles are better in his mother tongue. In the research findings, it is found that the instructions through mother tongue are better for the cognitive development of children because they perform better in verbal, problem solving, reflective thinking, divergent thoughts, grammar, syntax, and expressions.

Dr. Muntajeeb Ali Baig is an Assistant Professor in Marathwada College of Education, since 2003, he has also worked in Mohammad Ali Othman Institute in Yemen. He has authored and co-authored more than 15 research publications and has been part of more than 5 organization bodies (Journals and Conferences). He is an author/editor of three books.
