Ethiopia is the first and tenth largest livestock producer in Africa and in the world respectively with the overall population of above 50 million heads of cattle and largely contribute in many ways to household incomes and food security, as draught animals and through milk and meat production. However, their productivity is getting very poor with respect to their potential due to various limiting factors. Therefore, this book is designed to furnish the reader to realize the general aspects of cattle production.
