Beschreibung
This study attempts to compare education development and the economic performance trajectory of two post-conflict countries, Cambodia and Uganda from 1993 for Cambodia and 1986 for Uganda. Such an examination involves two aspects of analysis: the relation between education development and economic performance, and the role of the state in educational development. The study argues that in the post-conflict countries, for the positive correlation between education development and economic performance, state must play a very active role.
Autorenporträt
Leang UN earned a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioural Science from the University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands in 2012. Currently, he is a Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Royal University of Phnom Penh. His academic interest is on comparative education and development, with recent shift toward combining education and philosophy.
