In several chapters the author gives an overview of the arms production of the states in Africa, America, Asia, Australia and Oceania. He answers a wealth of questions related to the term "armaments". After a short history of the production of military equipment, the author examines in chapters five to eight the production of military equipment of all states on the individual continents. With this book, the author follows up on his book: " The defence equipment production of European states - Once and now".

Brigadier General Hon. Univ. Prof. Dr. Harald Pöcher graduated from the military academy. He is Head of Department in the Ministry of Defence in Vienna. He studied economics at the University of Vienna and habilitated at the Hungarian Defence University in Budapest in the field of military science / defence economics.
