Beschreibung

Silk regeneration into several forms is an important subject especially to bio materials researchers. One such is for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. Several challenges have been mentioned by previous researchers, in transforming silk fibroin into nanofibers. My related manuscripts in the Journals- Advanced Materials Research, and Indian Journal of Textile and Fiber Research, are a summary of a few involved processes and characterization. The literature survey provides readers with succinct references to compare methodologies. Of pertinence is the Experimental, which also highlights challenges in optimizing proportions and parameters; especially during silk dissolution and electrospinning. Nevertheless, results still show the need for further works to reduce loss of crystallinity, and improve nanofiber purity.
