Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Ingenieurwissenschaften - Bauingenieurwesen, Note: 1,3, Bauhaus-Universität Weimar (Fakultät Bauingenierwesen), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: This work is concerned with the topic of the Realisation of the Waste Management Concepts with the Private Sector Cooperation in Developing Countries. The implementation of waste management concepts in these countries in linked with organisational and financial difficulties. These capital lacking countries are often unable to realise projects individually. For the realisation of waste management concepts it is very important to the cooperation with international institutions. They give out grants and cheaper loans for the project. This work involved the analysing of assistance possibilities and assistance conditions for the total project time. In the realisation, the developing countries have to individually accomplish their part of the project and therefore they have to use the private sector. It is also further elaborated how the local companies and the international companies can be integrated in the project implementation. The private companies bring the capital to the project, know how and effectiveness. The investment costs are covered by the grants. The long-time operational costs are usually unsecured, since the people in the poverty stricken areas are incapable of paying. Due to this scenario, this work determined the organisation and financing of the operational phase for waste disposal concept. The types of charges were further looked on. In addition partnerships between private companies and the public institutions to find possible solutions way analysed. From these partnerships with help from international economic assistance, strategic alliances can be built so that they are lasting or to act in accordance to millennium objectives. The Federal Ministry for Development and Cooperation supports these projects both financially and technically. It is then considered in which ways the leading organisation of the BMZ and the local Non Governmental Organisations contribute to the success of the projects. The aim of alliances is to exploit the dynamism and competence of the private sector and to mobilize additional capital from private sources for development programs. Partnerships, conceived as a joint means of addressing global challenges. They are seen as a strategic concern for the future of development cooperation.
