The strikingly high resilience of current contrast medium has been accomplished through progressive improvements in chemical pharmacological technology. In the field of Diagnostic Radiology for the selection of contrast media, it is necessary to have some understanding of the physical and physiological principles involved. The objective is to provide a background for non-specialists on the complicated specialist subject. Nowadays Contrast enhanced Radiography is widely used as an important diagnostic tool.
