Silver nanoparticles because of their unique properties have drawn attention of researchers worldwide towards various applications in different fields.The surface plasmon resonance exhibited by the silver nanoparticles enables them to be utilized as anti microbial coating agents. Textiles, surgical instruments, utensils, packaging materials and paints can be rendered anti microbial and it can be made impervious to microbial attack. This book will explain about rapid synthesis of silver nanoparticles and their properties which are effective against common microbes which are responsible for infection.

Shriram K Vasudevan is an M.Tech, M.B.A.,(PhD) with close to 6 years of industrial and academic experience.He has worked with top MNCs like WIPRO and ARICENT Technologies. He was also associated with VIT University. Currently he employed working with AMRITA University as technical manager. Naren is an Asst.Prof and Gokul is an Engineering Graduate.
