This book offers an ideal research-level introduction to the problem arises in fluid flow through porous media. The study of the flow through porous media become basic necessity for many scientific and engineering applications quite apart from the interest it holds for its purely scientific aspects. The hydrodynamics in porous media can be classified into hydrodynamics of single-phase/ multiphase flow. Most applications of the flow through porous media are concerned with single fluid only and thus there is much more information on single-phase flow available than on multiple phase, which is very widely useful in petroleum industries.

Dr. Narendrasinh B Desai did Ph.D. in 2003 from SVNIT(Formerly, S.V Regional Engineering College), Surat.He has 20 years of teaching experience at various engineering and science colleges.Presently, he is working as a Head and Associate Professor of Mathematics at A D Patel Institute of Technology, New V V Nagar.
