Beschreibung

Developing countries such as Kenya, is a buzz with eHealth solution innovations and deployments, but sizable number of these innovations do not see the light of the day. According to a report by Centre for Health Market Innovations (CHMI), it is indicated that, only 40% of eHealth innovations are incubated up real life. Meaning, 60% of them disappear on the way and never provide health care solutions envisioned. According to WHO 2013, there hasnt been any empirical study on how to facilitate eHealth deployments with lack of a clear validated eHealth readiness assessment models that can ensure successful implementation of these solutions. This book therefore provides an in-depth literature synthesis of the models and frameworks on eHealth readiness ecosystem that can be used, adopted and up scaled in order to have baseline indicators to ensure eHealth deployments land in prepared grounds ripe and ready for germination. The Universal health coverage is key to many developing nations and therefore eHealth success is one way of assuring that this objective is met. This book is therefore targeting government policy makers in the Ministry of Health, Researchers and ICT practitioners.
