The corrosion is a great problem, the world has to face. The corrosion problem cant be completely stopped from our life but we can reduce it by several methods as the environment need. This work discusses the corrosion inhibition of steel in 1.0 M HCl solution by different synthesized surfactant compounds. In this work, the inhibition effect of those compounds has been studied by experimental and quantum chemical methods.

Dr. Mahmoud A. Bedair is currently working as a lecturer in chemistry department, faculty of science, Alazhar University, Cairo, Egypt. He has completed his master's degree (2011) and PhD degree (2014) in physical chemistry .He has published his research papers on corrosion inhibition of metals by experimental and quantum chemical methods.
