Toy Soldiers is a moving story, particularly relevant in todays world of conflict. Darcy and Oliver are childhood friends who play cowboys and Indians together, always letting the good guys win. But as they get older, they are shown the harsh realities of the real world.

Kathryn McGarry, born in Manchester, and now living in Birmingham trained as a Primary School Teacher after working in Investment Banking in London. That is where her interest in writing children's fiction began. 'Toy Soldiers' is an intelligent and moving debut book and we look forward to her next project.
