This book is denominationally neutral, written in a simple, easy to understand style with a loving and positive energy, which may also take away the fear of death. The red and grey illustrations symbolise the invisible and the visible. They certainly don't mind being touched. The text on the facing pages relates to the images. The book is designed for both young and old and anybody, including those in the middle of their lives, who want to be able to deal easily with the topic of death. It is particularly suitable for discussion groups, bereavement counselling, hospices, playgroups and schools, a basis for theatre productions or prayers, and much more. It is not and was not intended to be a scholarly piece. Its message is "You are in safe hands."

Wolfgang Olm, Jahrgang 1969, verheiratet, Vater eines Sohnes. Er ist ehrenamtlich in der Seelsorge tätig und hat die große Qualifikation zur Trauerbegleitung. Die enge Verbindung zur geistigen Welt ist für ihn das Normalste auf der Welt. Hauptberuflich ist er in der IT für mehrere Bereiche verantwortlich. Für das Gemeindeblatt seiner Kirche schreibt er regelmäßig Beiträge. Eine seiner Leidenschaften ist das Verfassen von Kurzgeschichten, philosophischen Zitaten und Sprüchen mit zumeist charmantem Humor sowie reflektierende Gedanken zur Gegenwart und Zukunft. Er ist kein Schwarzmaler und liebt bunte Farben. Zu den Illustrationen dieses Buches hat er Holzwerke kreiert (manufaktur-olm.de). Born 1969, married with one son. Wolfgang Olm works voluntarily in pastoral care and has a professional qualification in bereavement counselling. The close connection with the spiritual world is for him the most normal thing in the world. He works primarily in IT in various sectors and regularly writes contributions for his church's community newsletter. He has a passion for writing short stories, philosophical quotations and phrases of a charmingly humorous nature or reflective about the present and the future. He is not a "gloomster" and loves bright colours. He has created wooden figures to represent the illustrations in this book (manufaktur-olm.de).
